Can I come to the meal if I'm not a food bank customer?

Yes! The weekly community dinner is for everyone! 

If you are someone who would like to have a night off from cooking (or doing the dishes!) or want to spend time in a community setting then our Tuesday dinner is for you! We welcome donations to help cover the cost of food, but donations are not required.

Can I come to the meal if I am alone/ with a group/ have kids?

Yes! The weekly community dinner is for everyone! 

If you arrive alone and are interested in meeting new people, our volunteers can help with that.

Can I come to the meal if I don't like crowds?

The dining area can get noisy at times; however, it is less busy at 4pm for those who might be more comfortable with quieter environments.

If you're unsure, we encourage you to stop by and take meals to go for the first few weeks or until you feel comfortable dining in.

Can I come to the meal if I have dietary restrictions?

We always have two different protein options, including one vegetarian. We have labels on our dishes and the volunteers can answer any questions you have about ingredients. Please note: while we do our best, all food served may have come into contact with peanuts, nuts, dairy, and gluten. We cannot guarantee our food is allergen-free.

Can I get dinner delivered to my home?

No, at this time we are unable to deliver dinners to people. We will, however, have takeaway containers available if you have a friend or family member who could come by the dinner for you.

Can I help by making/ bringing food?

We are only able to accept food that is either pre-packaged or prepared at a facility that has been inspected and approved by the Health Unit. Any non-perishable goods dropped off and not served will be taken to one of our local food banks. For more questions on this topic, please Contact Us.

Yes! The building in which we serve dinner is accessible

Is there parking?

Yes! There are a lot of parking spaces outside the building and parking is free

How can I get there if I don't have a car?
